设立专门从事放射性废物贮存、处理、处置的单位，应当经国务院生态环境主管部门审查批准，取得许可证；仅贮存、处理本单位产生的放射性废物的，无需取得许可证。具体办法由国务院制定。

禁止无许可证或者不按照许可证的要求专门从事贮存、处理、处置放射性废物的活动。

禁止将放射性废物提供或者委托给无许可证的单位和个人贮存、处理、处置。

Entities specializing in the storage, treatment ordisposal of radioactive waste shall be subject to the examination and approvalof the competent department of ecology and environment under the State Counciland obtain a license. Entities that store or treat only the radioactive wastethey generate are not required to obtain a license. The specific measures shallbe formulated by the State Council.

It is prohibited to engage in the specialized storage,treatment or disposal of radioactive waste without a license or otherwise thanin accordance with the requirements of the license.

It is prohibited to provideor entrust radioactive waste to entities or individuals without a license forstorage, treatment or disposal.
